About the Item

This bookcase consists of four modules freestanding, suitable to be moving and placed at will in the home. It's composed by #5 uprights, and equipped with #9 shelves, #2 cabinets two doors, #2 cabinets with two drawers each one, #1 big cabinet two doors, and in addition #1 amazing cabinet with drop-leaf door available as secretaire. It's a versatile item that offers plenty of room for storage and that could be used in any interior decor, for the home as well as the office. It’s original of the 1950s, made in red teak wood and finished with brass details, overall, in very good condition of the period as the images show, with slight signs of wear consistent with age and gentle use. If all items designed and manufactured by Vittorio Dassi are always stylish and charming, also this teak wood collection must be added to his great successes. It has been so well designed by availing itself of the cooperation of Edmondo Palutari, one of the main internal designers of Dassi Mobili Moderni. This furniture line was given an important contribution to establish DMM (Dassi Mobili Moderni) as one of the most known and innovative Italian brand on the international market for interior design furniture, since the 1950s, thanks to the mix of the aesthetic design with gorgeous materials like warm teak wood, as well as for their functional mounting system that can be done without the need to use tools, because in total absence of screws (see last image). A real 'unique selling proposition', the reason why they were considered among the most innovative bookcases of the 1950s.
