Gilbert Rohde for Herman Miller Art Deco burl mahogany sideboard buffet - the classic Burl buffet or sideboard has an elegantly curved front panel with four doors and steel pulls. The top features a detailed and raised top. Recently refinished and unused since. The finish is in wonderful condition - The cabinet has four doors. The two outer doors have two shelves, the inner doors have pull out shelves - four on inside left for silver and serving pieces, the right side includes 5 drawers for linens and flat pieces. A sexy mid-century piece in the elegance of German Designer Gilbert Rohde Gilbert Rohde (1894-1944), whose career as a furniture and industrial designer helped to define American modernism during its first phase from the late 1920s to World War II, is best known today for inaugurating modern design at Herman Miller Inc.
