Late 19th Century Edwardian, Crotch Mahogany Woman's Petite Drop Front Desk

About the Item

This late 19th, early 20th Century Edwardian Style, Crotch Mahogany woman's drop front desk is so beautifully unique and perfectly petite to fit in so many compact room-scapes! The figuration of the crotch mahogany is stunning, drawing attention to itself the minute light hits the surface. Then, there's the marquetry inlay with ribbons, equally as delicate with drops of mother of pearl, gadroon trim, single drawer, 8 internal cubbyholes, two document slots behind the front door, and triple front drawers with triple string inlay. All these details add up to the most uniquely sophisticated desk.
