About the Item

Gianfranco Fini designed this beautiful cupboard in 1972. It convinces with its puristic, beautiful proportion and consists of two pieces. The bottom part differs from the upper part because of its depth and two doors. Behind the door is another shelf to store things. The upper part can be separated from the bottom and consists of 8 shelves. It is more slim. Above all the vein of the pine wood is very noticeable. Excellent condition. Fini is also famous for his sculptural light design for the company New Lamp in Rome. New Lamp was an avantgardistic project for futuristic and sculptural light design in Rome. He also designed furnitures for the company Poltronova in wood and in a different style like this cupboard. Between 1969 and 1974, Fini designed the interiors for the branches of the Italian fashion house Valentino in Rome, Paris, Munich and New York. 1972 he co-designed sets for cinema and theater with Italian sculptor Mario Ceroli such as the 1972 production of Norma held at La Scala in Milan. In 1974 he moved to Brazil where he founded the urban planning company Green Line and developed projects such as the Tabatinga Lagoa in Brazil. In 1975 he was invited to participate in the Venice Biennale European Investment Bank, Brussels and the Luxembourg Academy of Music. In 1975 he won competitions organized by the Damascus Academy of Fine Arts in Syria and the Palace of the Region of L'Aquila in Italy.
