Vitra ‘Self’ Sideboard/ Bookcase '2007' by Erwan & Ronan Bouroullec

About the Item

Designed in 2000 and no longer in production today, this rare sideboard is Ronan & Erwan Bouroullec’s modern take on the classic masterpieces as designed by Charlotte Perriand and Jean Prouve. Made of blown polypropylene and polycarbonate, there are only two elements to the ‘Self’ sideboard: horizontal shelves and vertical dividing walls in various colors that can be arranged at own discretion — without needing tools. This sideboard can be closed, open or accessed from both sides and can function as a bookshelf, display cabinet or divider. The cabinet is in a lovely pre-owned condition, with wear consistent of age and use, and comprises of 3 horizontal shelves and 9 vertical dividing walls. This Vitra series is discontinued, so hardly available on the market today. A modern design classic.
