Arne Vodder Rosewood Executive Desk for Sibast

About the Item

Exquisite Rosewood desk and return designed by Arne Vodder for Sibast Furniture in the 1950s. Featuring a very generous desktop, drawer with original leather stationary tray and hanging file drawer below and on the return a cubby with adjustable shelf and at the other end three equally sized drawers, all with the iconic rosewood and metal pulls. Vodder's signature ridge along the ends of the desk top and back of the return add some flair to the design along with the superb leg detail on the left side. The entire desk is done in the most gorgeous rosewood which has collect a beautiful time-faded patina. Original finish is in good condition with age typical wear. A few veneer touchups have been done to the drawer edges but overall this set is in great shape. Desk top comes off and two sections separate for easy moving. Sibast label present.
