A large and impressive vintage Danish desk in teak. Designed by Kai Kristiansen, it dates from the 1960’’s. The back features two lockable compartments and an open shelf. A practical piece, this desk features three drawers on either side for storage. The desktop is spacious and an enjoyable and comfortable size to work on. About the designer : Kai Kristiansen is a Danish furniture designer renowned for his innovative and functional designs that epitomize the mid-century modern aesthetic. Born in 1929, Kristiansen trained as a cabinetmaker before studying at the Royal Danish Academy of Fine Arts under the legendary Kaare Klint. His work, characterized by clean lines, organic forms, and impeccable craftsmanship, includes iconic pieces such as the No. 42 Chair and the FM Reolsystem. Kristiansen's designs remain highly sought after and continue to influence contemporary furniture design, underscoring his legacy as a master of Danish modernism.
