Memphis Table By Shiro Kuramata Sally Glass Chrome Rolling Table, 1987

About the Item

Round rolling table sally by Shiro Kuramata for Memphis, 1987 Dimensions are 30.31" x 23.35" x 23.35" Iconic table 'Sally' by Shiro Kuramata, Japan, 1987 for Memphis. Comprised of sandwiched laminated glass with an in between layer of shattered glass and colored film. The base is made from chrome-plated, stainless steel on casters. This piece was acquired by us from a certified Memphis re-seller in Vienna. It’s in great condition and as these tables are not being produced anymore pretty scarce these days. A historical fact: Shiro Kuramata was dissatisfied with the welding quality of stainless steel in Italy that the bases were actually welded in Japan and imported to Italy for to complete with the glass-work. Excellent quality piece in wonderful condition with no flaws, minimal scratches to the surface.
