About the Item

A wonderful and rivetting work by American/ California artist Ed Moses titled "Ikuru Speak-No". This work is on wove and Japanese paper (The print was made with two attached sheets of paper. The bottom sheet is hand-made Seikishu rice paper). The limited edition color screenprint collage was printed by Jeff Wasserman with a blind stamp in the lower corner and published by the Los Angeles County Museum (LACMA). The work is hand pencil signed, dated (1990), and numbered (11/250) by Moses. Lichtenstein, inspired by his trip to Paris and viewing of Claude Monet's impressionistic paintings of haystacks, the work, and series is a pop art homage to the French painter. The series of seven "Haystack" prints runs from morning (yellow) to midnight (black, with embossing) each reflecting Monet's changing light effects. This work is a limited edition lithograph with screen printing on Rives BFK white wove paper. It was published by Gemini G.E.L., Los Angeles (with their blind stamps to the lower right margin). The work was done in a limited numbered edition of 100. The work is hand-signed in pencil, dated (1969), and numbered (90/100) by Lichtenstein. A wonderfully composed, abstract designed limited edition silkscreen serigraph print by American artist Dean Meeker. This work is titled "Portofino" and is one of his more elusive/rare and hard-to-find images. The print is hand-pencil signed, titled, and numbered (Edition of 50) by the artist. Dean Jackson Meeker (born in Madison, Wisconsin, 1920-2002) was an internationally recognized sculptor, painter, and printmaker. He studied at the Art Institute of Chicago, Northwestern University, and the University of Wisconsin. In 1958, Meeker was awarded a Guggenheim Fellowship for 1959 and 1960 to study printmaking in Europe. In Paris, he worked at Hayter's printmaking workshop, Atelier 17, and with printmaker Kaiko Moti while also studying in museums in Spain and Italy.
