"Desire" diptych diamond dust screen print by Russell Young, England, 2011. Edition of 5. Hand-pulled acrylic paint and enamel screen print with diamond dust on linen. Signed on verso. Russell Young is an internationally acclaimed artist who recently exhibited his diamond dust paintings in Palm Beach, Florida. Decoratum has since been fortunate enough to have acquired a number of his iconic images. Youngâ??s work include his diamond dust works on linen, including a triptych of screen prints of Hollywood Goddess Marilyn Monroe and musical icon Kurt Cobain, both historical figures in the arts who met tragic and premature ends. His use of diamond dust mixed in with his paint is his way of paying reverence to his featured celebrities. While the process used to create Youngâ??s Diamond dust screen prints is a closely guarded secret, it has been revealed to us that all the works are hand-pulled on the sister press of the very printing press used...
