A rare and visually striking framed antique European embroidered silk panel.
Exquisitely hand-crafted in Continental Europe in the 19th century, depicting map of the world, double hemisphere, having a highly attractive appearance, with finely worked details, blackwork, sampler, decorative elements in elegant polychrome threads and silk. Truly a remarkable work! Professionally framed and matted, mounted in an ebonized wood frame with carved giltwood ornamentation.
