19th Century Original Black and White Multimedia Dimensional Etching

About the Item

This extraordinarily unique 19th century art piece is a reflection of one artists unique perspective of life by way of creative execution and means. The scene dimensionally depicts a night sky over a lake with trees in the foreground, boat dock, a house by the lake and a small town off in the distance The composition itself is extremely unique for this period and borders on folk art with respect to the chosen composition and medium. The frame is gilt over a red base with ornate border carvings of round chain link figures with medallions finishing each corner. Consistent with glass of this period, there are small irregularities and air bubbles in the glass surface. This piece would be a wonderful addition to a special wall grouping or a stand-alone piece of art easel displayed on a table top.
