Compare with similar, lot 266, Sotheby's Magnificient Jewels, Geneva, 10th May 2022. This vintage brooch is in very good condition with signs of wear on the enamel consistent with its age. Unmarked, tested as platinum. A fabulous Art Deco brooch deemed to be made by Oscar Heyman, offered by Bentley and Skinner, the London jewellers by appointment to His Majesty the King. Founded in 1912 in New York, Oscar Heyman, whose clients included the imperial jeweller Faberge and Elizabeth Taylor, was known for creating bold and stylish pieces which are still loved today. This brooch perfectly captures the essence of Art Deco in its design and streamlined style. The fresh green of the emeralds and the jet black of the enamel contrast marvellously with the glimmering diamonds. Sparkling and bright, this brooch would look marvellous pinned to the collar of a black blazer.
