This is a remake of a design which was first advertised in Mademoiselle magazine in 1937. This brooch was featured in a 1959 advertisement.
Trifari is an American jewelry company founded in 1925 which sold costume jewelry to the middle to high end market. In 1930, Alfred Philippe, an immigrant from France, joined the company and became its lead designer. Philippe in his previous position in Paris had collaborated with Cartier and Van Cleef & Arpels, which influenced his designs for Trifari. In the 1930s, Trifari's jewelry was frequently used in Broadway productions. Their designs were also popular in Europe, owned by the Countess of Polignac as well as madame Lanvin's daughter and the director of Lanvin. Trifari also designed two sets of faux-pearl jewelry for Mamie Eisenhower. In 1955, Trifari won a landmark lawsuit protecting its copyrighted designs which were being copied by other costume jewelry companies. Vintage Brooch Pin 14k Gold Pearl Diamond Estate Jewelry

A spectacular vintage brooch pin made of 14 karat gold, featuring a pearl and diamonds.
Being a unique estate jewelry piece, this vintage gold pin is designed as an artichoke thistle flower. The “petals” were meticulously crafted by using embossing and hammering techniques. Each petal is topped with a diamond. Two circled rows of diamonds are embellishing the top of the flower and hugging the pearl.
The stem of the flower is high-polished gold. There are four diamonds set on a wavy leave sitting on the stem.
This full of dynamic vintage gold brooch pin was made as a true piece of art, with close attention to details and extraordinary skills.
This vintage brooch is made of 14 karat yellow gold (tested) and features a golden South Sea pearl accented with diamonds. The pearl measures 12.3 x 13.8 mm. The diamonds are round brilliant cut and single cut, champagne color and VS-SI1 clarity, total weight approximately 2.32 carats.
This vintage 14k gold brooch measures 2 3/8” x 1 ½” (8.5 x 3.7 cm) and weighs 23.7 grams.

Made by Paltscho in Vienna, Austria in the 1950s. The brooch is finely modeled as a lily of the valley. The flower heads are superbly carved from frosted rock crystal and embellished with diamonds. The green leaf is naturalistically carved from a single piece of nephrite jade and wrapped with diamonds. The stems are made of white 14K gold. Marked with the horse head assay mark for Austrian 4th gold standard (14K), ‘V’ for Vienna, 585 gold, and maker’s mark. Length 97 mm (3 7/8 in.)
