About the Item

Fabergé Egg Object of Art, 18-Carat Yellow Gold, Red Guilloché Enamel with Fleur-de-Lys Paillons This exceptional -Fabergé egg-, crafted entirely from -solid 18-carat yellow gold- by -Workmaster Victor Mayer- around -1995-, is a testament to masterful craftsmanship and artistic excellence. Inspired by the grandeur of the imperial Fabergé tradition, it combines luxurious materials with intricate detailing, making it a true collector’s piece. The -surface of the egg- is adorned with -twelve delicate fleur-de-lys paillons-, golden ornaments carefully embedded beneath layers of rich, translucent -red guilloché enamel-. The fine, wave-like guilloché pattern enhances the depth and luminosity of the enamel, creating a captivating interplay of light. This -remarkable object of art- consists of -two precisely fitting halves-, allowing the egg to open and close seamlessly. The -rims where the two halves meet- are adorned with an exquisite -hand-engraved floral motif-, a refined detail that further elevates its artistry. Inside, the -upper half- is lined with fine silk and features a -silver imprint of the Russian imperial double-headed eagle-, a distinguished symbol of power and heritage. The -lower half- is luxuriously lined with -royal blue silk-, adding to the egg’s regal presentation. Both the egg and its accompanying -golden stand-, also crafted by -Victor Mayer for Fabergé-, were produced in -limited editions-. The egg is -engraved with the number 12 of 300-, marking its exclusivity, while the stand bears the engraving -47 of 100-, further emphasizing its rarity. Both pieces are signed with the esteemed -Fabergé signature and the mark of Victor Mayer-, ensuring their authenticity and celebrating the unparalleled craftsmanship that defines this extraordinary work of art. The collaboration began in 1990, and from 1990 to 2009, VICTOR MAYER held the exclusive worldwide license to create Fabergé jewels and objets d’art, upholding the legacy of the historic Fabergé workmasters. Even today, VICTOR MAYER continues to produce exquisite jewelry for Fabergé, London, preserving its reputation as a trusted and valued partner in the creation of extraordinary pieces. About vitreuos enamel: The inimitably luminous colours are literally created "in the fire": layer by layer, enamel is carefully fired in at 800 degrees Celsius. During guilloching, the finest wave patterns are engraved into the gold, creating a unique depth effect. Vitreous means made of glass: the ancient technique is almost forgotten today and Victor Mayer is perhaps the last manufac-tory to master it at the highest level. About gold paillons: Paillons are shaped emblems of gold foil. They are fused to a pre-fired enamel grounding and coated with clear enamels. This creates an illusion of chased metal inside the enamel. Paillons are made as small pre-shaped motifs, with a slight relief. Victor Mayer is one of the very few specialist workshops with suitable equipment and the expertise to make Paillons today. About guilloché: Guilloché refers to a class of enamel with abstract geometric patterns cut into the surface of precious metals and showing clearly through the overlying glaze. The manner in which the design is engraved into the metal increases the luminous quality and play of colours in the translucent glaze when the object is rotated to catch the light. This exceptional piece is currently in stock and available for immediate shipment. The Fabergé egg will be presented in its original Fabergé box, ensuring a luxurious and authentic experience.
