About the Item

The 1996 Fabergé >Spring Egg<: A precious bouquet of flowers moving to Vivaldi's melody, 18 carat yellow gold, 79 diamonds 1.060 ct GVS, pink enamel. Creative Background: This object is the “Spring” egg from the Fabergé “Four Seasons” series, created in 1996. It features a vibrant bouquet of flowers carved from various semiprecious stones, each flower accented by a diamond “dewdrop” and surrounded by green-enamelled gold leaves. Set within a golden vase, the bouquet slowly revolves when activated, accompanied by a musical movement that plays the “Spring” concerto from Vivaldi’s The Four Seasons. As one of four eggs each corresponding to a season, this piece exemplifies exquisite craftsmanship, precious materials, and a fusion of visual and auditory artistry. Characteristics of this of piece include: 1. High-quality materials: The egg is made from precious metals such as gold, and adorned with fine enamel. The rich, glossy pinkish-red hue visible here is a high-quality, translucent enamel applied over a patterned (guilloché) metal surface. 2. Intricate decoration: The exterior features elaborate details such as gold garlands, bows, leaves, and floral motifs. The careful, three-dimensional design work and use of gemstones (diamonds and other precious stones) is a hallmark of Fabergé craftsmanship. 3. Hidden "surprise": One of the defining features of many Fabergé eggs is that they contain a hidden element or “surprise” inside. In this case, when the top half of the egg is opened, it reveals a stunning, flower-like ornament composed of vividly colored, carved gemstones and gold filigree. This miniature sculpture is intricately detailed, reflecting the jeweler’s mastery. 4. Ornamental base: The egg rests on a pedestal stand—fashioned from carved bowenite (greenstone) and rose quartz —complementing the egg’s luxurious aesthetic. Base of bowenite (greenstone) and rose quartz Dimensions: Height 13 cm Enamel: Translucent pink enamel on a guilloche background Diamonds: 79 brilliant cut diamonds totaling 1.060ct, G VS Limited edition: 5/10 About the Fabergé workmaster VICTOR MAYER For two decades (1989 to 2009), the renowned German jewelry company VICTOR MAYER was authorized to create exquisite Fabergé jewelry and art objects under a worldwide exclusive license. VICTOR MAYER thus continued the tradition of the Fabergé master craftsmen for twenty years. Today, although VICTOR MAYER no longer holds an exclusive worldwide license for jewelry, it remains one of Fabergé's most valued and trusted suppliers of jewelry and art objects. About vitreous enamel: The inimitably luminous colours are literally created "in the fire": layer by layer, enamel is carefully fired in at 800 degrees Celsius. During guilloching, the finest wave patterns are engraved into the gold, creating a unique depth effect. Vitreous means made of glass: the ancient technique is almost forgotten today and Victor Mayer is perhaps the last manufac-tory to master it at the highest level. Availability: This item is in stock and ready to ship. The egg object will be delivered with an original Fabergé box and certificate.

Fabergé Pill Box 18K Yellow Gold Green Enamel 12 Diamonds and 16 Rubies
By Fabergé
Located in Pforzheim, DE
Fabergé Limited Edition Pill Box 18K Yellow Gold, Vitreous Green Enamel, Diamonds 0.30 ct G VS, Rubies 0.48ct This piece is an original modern Fabergé creation, crafted in 18k gold by the master artisans of Victor Mayer in Pforzheim, Germany. Victor Mayer, who held the exclusive Fabergé license from 1989 to 2009 and continues to produce objects and jewelry for Fabergé to this day, is renowned for its meticulous craftsmanship and faithful adherence to the illustrious Fabergé tradition. The exterior features a vivid green guilloché enamel. Guilloché is a technique where intricate, repeating patterns are engine-turned into the underlying metal; when covered with translucent enamel and fired, these engraved patterns shimmer beneath the glass-like surface. The result is a dynamic play of light and depth, with the green enamel glowing as it highlights the geometric motif beneath. Over this enamel surface, a raised latticework of gold “struts” is set at regular intervals, creating a trellis-like pattern. At each intersection, a gemstone is placed—alternating rubies and diamonds. The rubies, with their rich red hue, and the diamonds, with their brilliant sparkle, form a lively contrast against the green enamel and warm gold tones. Each stone is carefully set into the gold to ensure secure positioning and uniform alignment. Delicate rope-like gold borders and ornamental edging around the box add further intricacy and textural interest, emphasizing the level of detail that goes into such a piece. Supported by small, individually crafted gold feet, the box stands slightly elevated, suggesting a sense of grandeur and presence. Inspired by the lavish snuff boxes and treasure boxes of the 18th and 19th centuries, such a piece might have once held finely ground tobacco for aristocrats. Today, it could serve as a pill box or simply be cherished as a precious keepsake—an objet d’art that blends historical elegance with artisanal mastery. Though small and portable, this is far more than a container. It is a miniature work of art that embodies time-honored techniques, luxurious materials, and a heritage steeped in the tradition of Old World craftsmanship. It stands as a testament to the exquisite skill of those who created it, worthy of admiration in a collection or showcased as a decorative masterpiece. The stunning contemporary 18-carat gold Faberge Pill Box...
