Perfume bottle designed by Jean-Louis Scherrer.
Very rare and beautiful perfume bottle, created in Paris France by Jean Louis Scherrer, back in the late 20th century. This exotic perfume bottle was made as a promotion for the launching of his famous Scherrer 2 perfume in 1986. Carefully crafted in the art deco style with skyscraper patterns, in solid sterling silver of .925/.999 with high polished finish. Fitted with a lid and a pistil to applicate the perfume and scents.
Weight: 130.95 Grams, (83.94 Dwt).
Measurements: 86 mm by 24 mm by 18 mm (3.40 x 0.94 x 0.71 Inches).
Hallmarks: Stamped with French marks, the silver assay mark, the maker's mark of SF inside a lozange cartouche, the edition number and signed, "JEAN LOUIS SCHERRER PARIS 925 Sterling #0202"
Edition: Number 0202 from 1000 pieces produced.
Jean-Louis Scherrer born in Paris in February. He was a Parisian fashion designer and couturier. Although he had name recognition and was known for his work, he is mainly noted for being the first couture designer to be sacked from their own-name label in 1992. Scherrer trained as a dancer at the Conservatoire de Paris until he injured his back, which put him out of action for three months. He then decided to focus on fashion design, and in 1956, joined Christian Dior as an assistant designer alongside Yves Saint Laurent. Following Dior's death in 1957, Scherrer worked under Saint Laurent, and then for Louis Féraud, before launching his own fashion house in 1962 on the Rue du Faubourg Saint-Honoré with the backing of Jacques Chabrol, a French millionaire. In the mid-1960s Scherrer had an agreement with the American department store Bergdorf Goodman to grant them exclusive rights to reproduce and resell his designs in the United States. His clients included Anne-Aymone Giscard d'Estaing, Jacqueline Kennedy Onassis, and Raquel Welch, who wore Scherrer animal-print dresses in the 1977 film L'Animal. By the 1980s, his work was known for its opulence and luxury, with many garments hand-beaded, embroidered and lavishly trimmed. His extremely expensive designs were popular with the wealthy wives of Middle East oil tycoons, but after the Gulf War...

THE SILVER LOCKET PENDANT IS IN THE FORM OF A HEART. IT HAS BEAUTIFUL ACANTHUS LEAF SCROLL MOTIF ENGRAVING ON BOTH SIDES OF THE LOCKET. ON ONE SIDE ARE THREE VICTORIAN INITIALS AT THE BOTTOM. THE HEART LOCKET DATES TO CIRCA 1870-1900.
William Hair Haseler was born to John and Sarah Evett (Hair) Haseler in 1821/1822 in Birmingham, England. In 1870, Haseler founded the company, W. H. Haseler & Co., specializing in gold and silver work, and jewelry.
Five years later, Arthur Lasenby Liberty (1843-1917) started a small shop on the corner of Regent Street in London. Specializing in exotic goods from Japan and the Far East, his business thrived and he became a leading merchant to the upper classes, including famous members of the Pre-Raphaelite movement. The store soon became the most fashionable place to shop in London, featuring luxurious wares including fabrics, clothing, furniture, clocks, jewelry, wallpapers and decorative objects of all kinds. His efforts to promote the Art Nouveau style, with its depiction of leaves and flowers in flowing ornamental lines, were so influential that the term “Stile Liberty” became the accepted term for the style in Italy.

We are proud to introduce these spectacular platinum Art Deco lorgnette folding eye glasses, that are now part of our diverse antique jewellery collection.
The magnificent eyeglasses feature an intricately designed elongated octagonal frame, showcasing elaborately detailed filigree work that highlights the delicate and unparalleled craftsmanship of the 19th Century. They are complemented by 2.2cm long tapered handle, beautifully designed with meticulous art deco motifs inlaid with approximately 0.15ct of diamonds, attached to one side to easily hold them to the eyes.
These stunning glasses are both practical and elegant thanks to the hinged bridge that allows them to fold neatly and become a monocle or magnifying glass.
Accompanying these unique folding spectacles is a matching platinum lariat chain measuring 30 inches in length, with a 2 inch extension where the glasses attach, so they can be worn around the neck, adding a touch of sophistication to any ensemble. The chain itself is designed with small, ornate links and two spring lock clasps, one on each end, and decorated with 10 eight cut diamonds, weighing approximately 0.20ct combined, echoing the meticulous attention to detail seen in the glasses.

A jewelled gold trompe l’oeil scent bottle, attributed to Fabergé, in the form of a paint tube with detachable cover, all finely engraved to imitate snake-leather texture, the front applied with a label featuring a lucky horse-shoe, encrusted with small rubies, sapphires and rose-cut diamonds, mounted in yellow gold with oval pendant loop, bearing indistinct marks, circa 1890, measuring 5 x 1.6cm, gross weight 10.9 grams.
