"Tarina" translates to "story" or "fable" in Finnish, likely alluding to the design of the decanter. In the form of a figure adorned in a jacket, with the stopper ingeniously serving as its hat, this decanter is stimulating to the imagination. Crafted from white stoneware and finished with a lustrous brown glaze, and delicate white accents, this petite decanter boasts a delightful and straightforward design, accented with intricate sgraffito detailing.
The "Tarina" decanter was designed by Eira Käär and Leena Vuorinen, and was produced during the period spanning 1954 to 1963. Stamped with the Arabia crown marking and "ARABIA" and "MADE IN FINLAND" on its base, this decanter embodies the unparalleled craftsmanship and heritage synonymous with Arabia Finland pottery.
