I'm a New Yorker, born and bred. I was raised with noise and rush and life all around me. My world was vivid technicolor, and no one ran faster than I did. I met and married the man of my dreams, and had the joys and exasperations of raising a family. And all of these events would have been the colors of my canvas if not for the happy opportunity of being able to spend some years in Japan.
Japan is the perfect place to plunk down a New Yorker. While it races along on one level, there is this other part of Japan that forces you to hit the mental brakes until the images racing by slow down enough to actually be seen! Eastern thought is a well from which to draw the pure water that clears the mind and strengthens the soul.
I've had the unbelievable pleasure of turning visions into realities, and of having those pieces of me scattered around the world. I'm thrilled that they've found so much acceptance in exhibitions, and I'm humbled at the thought that they hang on the walls of museums. But I have to say that I am most pleased when they speak so loudly to another soul that that person has to bring me home to continue our conversation for years to come.
For the last 18 years, I've been a teacher, too. I have all the joys of being able to step back from what I do, and think through the principles I've recognized and the pathways I've wandered. And then to offer those insights to others to help them bring out their own mental images for the rest of us to share.

This dynamic work was realized by the esteemed 20th Century modern artist Mon Levinson in 1964. The work was realized in 1964, and printed in 1965 by Chiron Press in New York- the same year that Levinson was included in the seminal Op-Art exhibition "The Responsive Eye", alongside contemporary luminaries such as Bridget Riley. An identical work from this edition resides in the permanent collection of the New York MoMA. This mixed media work consists of an translucent vinyl sheet layered over a print- part etching, part lithograph. The clear vinyl sheet is embossed with a tight pattern of sinuously curved repeating black lines and is subtly raised in places- creating a subtle three dimensionality and dynamic sense of movement. The paper is inscribed with the same recurring pattern of snaking black lines, like a fine filigree, with two weighty black geometric forms that appear to crowd the composition. Smaller geometric forms reside within creating the apparition of negative space in the bone hued paper. The juxtaposition of the delicate texture and colossal feeling forms imbues the piece with a stunning dynamism and tension, helping to explain why Levinson is among the most influential and important artist to come out of the Op Art movement. His work is in the permanent collections of important institutions around the world including the Museum of Modern Art as well as the Whitney Museum of American Art in New York. "Don't Wine" is a mixed media piece, predominately a serigraph, by Paula Schuette Kramer and Bill Weege. Both artists signed in pencil in the lower right, and the title is in the lower left. It is one of a an edition of 50. The print is an explosion of bright colors, but red, blue, and green dominated the composition as they fade through the background. A blue figure climbs up a ladder out of an apple, hefting a large wine bottle overhead, which they pour out into the sea of wine. A man, woman, and long-necked orange bird also look out from the apple, reading for the stem of a floating bunch of green grapes. A group surrounds the grapes with their heads and shoulders above the water, eating the fruit. Birds fly through the background, dodging wine glasses and a vase of flowers that seem to be tumbling from a flying carpet. The entire image feels very surreal.

Rosie Emerson returns to her elongated trademark style for the release of a brand new Audrey Hepburn print. Emerson has developed her very own technique to make these to prints using charcoal powder instead of ink, these print have a soft look and light texture to them, the powder is fixed with layers of fixative and also a UV varnish so they are protected for the years to come. Elevating the iconic Audrey Hepburn these prints unite hand painted elements, collaged found wire, diamonds and star constellations all in her monochrome style. A small edition of just 20, each print will vary slightly due to her unique technique, they come signed and edition in pencil and embossed with an artists stamp.
Rosie Emerson, born in 1981, is a contemporary artist working almost exclusively on representing the female form. Emerson’s figures draw reference from archetypes old and new, from Artemis to the modern day super model, each solitary figure, an allegory of her own fantasy. Interested in surface, the interplay between photography and painting. Emerson’s works are playful constructs; Photography is used, not as a device for capturing reality but for creating romanticised optical illusions.
Inspired by her love of theatre, performance, shrines and rituals, she uses lighting, costume, set and prop making, alongside printmaking and painting to create other worldly one off pieces. Her photography is inspired by both the drama of the baroque, and ethereal qualities of Pre Raphaelite works. Other important influences include late medieval and renaissance paintings, Japanese prints, and magical realist literature.
Emerson’s work is widely collected and exhibited both in the UK as well as internationally, through galleries, art fairs and museums. She has also worked with brands and individuals including Harvey Nichols, The Ivy Club, Sony, Triumph Underwear, Redbull, P&O Cruises, and Annoushka jewelry...
