International Fine Print Dealers Association (IFPDA)
International Fine Print Dealers Association (IFPDA)

Launched in 1987, the International Fine Print Dealers Association has continually set the bar for quality and ethics while promoting prints as original works of art to generations of collectors, curators and art lovers. With over 160 members in 13 countries, the IFPDA is a worldwide community of leading dealers and editions publishers who represent the full spectrum of printmaking. Each year, the IFPDA hosts the IFPDA Print Fair in New York, the only major fair dedicated to fine-art prints.

The Seven Deadly Sins: Sheltering in Place
By Enrique Chagoya
Located in Lyons, CO
Color lithograph with collage, Edition 30. The artist describes this project: "This lithograph has been produced keeping in mind the pandemonium sparked by the departing administration and its long-term effects on society. I worked the images during shelter in place without being able to travel to the Shark’s studio in Lyons for the first time in a couple of decades. It has been our first collaboration at a distance, but still in close communication, and very workable. My print focuses on some of these issues (with a sense of humor inspired by James Ensor’s version of The Seven Deadly Sins...

The Bridge
By Frank Benson
Located in New York, NY
"The Bridge" is a drypoint by Frank Benson created in 1923. Printed in an edition of 150 this impression is signed in pencil, lower left. The image size is 13 1/2 x 10 5/8" (34.2 x 26.8 cm) and sheet size 16 1/2 x 13 1/16" (41.8 x 33.3 cm). FRANK W. BENSON (1862-1951) Frank Weston Benson, well known for his American impressionist paintings, also produced an incredible body of prints - etchings, drypoints, and a few lithographs. Born and raised on the North Shore of Massachusetts, Benson, a natural outdoorsman, grew up sailing, fishing, and hunting. From a young age, he was fascinated with drawing and birding – this keen interest continued throughout his life. His first art instruction was with Otto Grundman at the Museum of Fine Arts in Boston, and then in 1883 in Paris at the Academie Julian where he studied the rigorous ‘ecole des beaux arts’ approach to drawing and painting for two years. During the early 1880’s Seymour Haden visited Boston giving a series of lectures on etching. This introduction to the European etching...

By Chryssa Vardea-Mavromichali
Located in Fairlawn, OH
Signed in pencil Edition 100 Printer: Styria Studio, Inc., NY, with their blindstamp This earlier (1966) sculpture of the same title is the inspiration of the portfolio. The sculpture is in the collection of the Albright Knox Museum. The screenprints follow the neon of the sculpture. Greek-born American sculptor Chryssa—who went by her first name professionally—died on December 23, 2013, reports Margalit Fox of the New York Times. Born in 1933 in Athens, Chryssa Vardea-Mavromichali grew up during the Nazi occupation of Greece. After studying at the Académie de la Grande Chaumière, Paris, and the California School of Fine Arts, San Francisco, she began incorporating neon into her fragmentary, text-based work. Her first solo exhibition in New York was held at the Betty Parsons Gallery in 1961, which was quickly followed by shows at the Guggenheim, New York; Leo Castelli Gallery, New York; and the Walker Art Center, Minneapolis. Her work is part of collections of major museums, including the Museum of Modern Art, New York; the Whitney Museum of American Art, New York; and the Corcoran Gallery of Art, Washington, DC. Modern Home
By Peter Saul
Located in Lyons, CO
Color lithograph, Edition 30. Peter Saul is a renowned painter of entertaining and provocative paintings. As an ‘anti-conformist’ and a ‘bad boy’ of painting, he mingles beauty and savagery, romance and ugliness in works that disarm the viewer. “Saul wants to offend and please at the same time.” Drawing imagery from popular culture and using brash colors that add to the confusion, Saul accentuates the violent and vulgar nature of representation. He has a taste for narration and buffoonery. Peter Saul made prints for the first time at Shark’s in November 2002. He used his fine drawing skill and high-keyed color to create three lithographs, Self Portrait with Haircut, Modern Home...
