Gio Ponti Vase, Richard Ginori, Italy, 1929–30. Glazed porcelain. Beautiful and rare decoration featuring flying doves and black lines. This piece was created during the period when Giò Ponti served as the artistic director of the Richard Ginori ceramic factory. Stamped manufacturer's marks on the underside: Richard Ginori, San Cristoforo. Literature: Gio Ponti: The Complete Works 1923–1978, Ponti, p. 74, illustrates similar examples.
