Eye-catching hand painted glazed ceramic large lebrillo bowl in brown color on a white background. Manufactured by La Menora, Talavera. Spain, 1940-1950s. This heavily decored centerpiece or bowl has a meticulous hand painted drawing of birds, leaves and flowers in monochrome brown color. The background in white highlights the drawings. This ceramic piece was designed to be a basin plate dish to place an ewer and its traditional use was to wash hands. Now it can be used as fruits bowl or serving bowl or as a centerpiece /bowl for decorative purposes in any kitchen or countryside house decoration. Beautiful to be placed in a rustic bathroom. Impressive exhibited in a cupboard or as an art wall decoration. Overall dimensions: 35 cm diameter x 10 cm height.
