Ettore Sottsass Don Lamp

About the Item

Playful reading lamp by Ettore Sottsass for Stilnovo. Aptly called the "Don", this lamp nods (or bows) its straight neck from an emerald cube base, topped by an adjustable shade in the shape of a Classic bowler hat. Designed in 1977, this cheeky lamp anticipates the postmodern designs that this founding member contributed to the Memphis Design movement. Fantastic vintage condition, with minimal scratching to the enameled paint at the metal base, Italy, 1970s.
