Ettore Sottsass “Tappeto per Max" Edizione Atelier di Elio Palmisano

Tappeto annodato a mano con filato di pura lana su ordito di cotone. Densità dei nodi: 90.000 al metro quadrato. Rifinito a mano con rasatura a intaglio. Disegnato e realizzato nel 1989. Edizione limitata a 5 esemplari. L’atelier di Elio Palmisano rappresenta una delle poche imprese italiane (se non addirittura l’unica) ad aver realizzato un gran numero di arazzi e tappeti nel corso della seconda metà del Novecento, in sinergia con gli artisti contemporanei. Dal 1968 al 2005 circa Palmisano ha creato una collezione di quasi 320 soggetti, fra arazzi e tappeti, disegnati da artisti e designer di fama, da Giacomo Balla a Ettore Sottsass. Utilizzando le antiche tecniche artigianali di lavorazione, Palmisano è riuscito davvero a tessere lo scenario dell’arte italiana del XX secolo. Della manifattura di Elio Palmisano si è molto parlato nei quasi quarant’anni di attività, durante i quali le sue opere erano apprezzate e valorizzate soprattutto dal nuovo mondo del design.
