The chairs are entirely made of fiberglass which gives them their minimalist sculptural shape. The seats are upholstered with a natural fabric and can be removed.
Both the fiberglass base and the seats are professionally restored. The fiberglass is repainted in the original mustard color and the seats are reupholstered with a high quality beige fabric.

Beautiful condition, keeping in mind that these are vintage and not new so will have signs of use and wear even if it has been refinished or restored. Specifically, they were professionally cleaned, however, they retain a bit of perfectly imperfect fading on seat, arms, & front of backs. There is a frayed spot in the lower front back of one chair. We feel these fit into the Cottagecore aesthetic as is, but some may want to recover; they are priced accordingly. Please see photos and zoom in for details as they are part of the condition report. Although there are rare armchairs dating back as far as the 17th century, some believe that the origins of the first official “lounge chair” are tied to Hungarian modernist designer-architect Marcel Breuer. Sure, Breuer wasn’t exactly reinventing the wheel when he introduced the Wassily lounge chair in 1925, but his seat was indeed revolutionary for its integration of bent tubular steel.
