About the Item

Two-seater sofa from Mobili della Valle series in pine wood, designed by Mario Ceroli and produced by Poltronova in the 1970s. This two-seater sculptural sofa is part of the well-known Mobili della Valle series designed by the Italian artist and designer Mario Ceroli for Poltronova. This work reflects the use of wood also noticeable in other works of Ceroli. The wooden structure of this sofa was realized through the rhythmic repetition of the wooden parts. Mario Ceroli has been able to demonstrate one of his maximum examples of art in his creation of a sofa that transforms dynamically such rigid materials as wood, giving it motions and dynamism. The sofa has the signature and the manufacturer's mark fire-stamped on the structure. Literature: Pier Carlo Santini, Facendo Mobili con Poltronova, Arftigraf Edizioni, pp. 42/43
