The wall sconce consists of a large ceramic tile in center with a mother fish with a small fish in her belly. They are surrounded by several smaller ceramic tiles in brown, some of them also depicting fishes.
The tiles are mounted on a chipboard and it can be hung on the wall.
The motif is a tribute to Motherhood and Fertility. Lizzie Thyssen has made several wall decors showing mother animal with their babies in their bellys.

What you are seeing here is an extremely rare, enameled glass pendant. This stylish and truly classy pendant is signed 'Selin' or 'Felin' or 'Gelin' and we cannot find another light by this, clearly very talented, maker anywhere else in the world. With late 19th and early 20th century lighting being one of our specialities, we can tell you that in our 30+ years of dealing in special fixtures, we have only seen fixtures of this quality and beauty by the likes of Galle and Schneider. Their fixtures were made with the exact same techniques that were used to create this antique work of art. Both the design and the colors make this unique light at least as impressive as the Galle and Schneider ones. What makes this unique light extra desirable is the original and also handcrafted and handpainted, wrought iron canopy. It is the perfect finish to this wonderful antique fixture.
