The Chandelier series for Ash portrays an inner mantra, that light is a fuel in which we all connect, the artist goes on to explain: "We all have a light inside of us and that light is how we connect in some realm; whether it be a mentor, a friend, a stranger, a nurse. It is this innate human connection that brings us together and for me, a chandelier represents the complexity and beauty of this and so the idea of providing this light for one another is what motivates me in this collection." Almonte is constantly developing her aesthetic, further breaking the barriers of how she applies paint onto the canvas by carefully manipulating her dried acrylic pallet. Cutting and reapplying the leftover paint onto new works of art, Almonte creates a refreshing and unique design that gives her work a new dimension and a more 3D-like feel. This piece is painted on thick gallery wrap canvas and is signed lower right and on verso, it comes with hanging wire on verso ready to be displayed.

Inspired by vibrance and an optimistic outlook on life, Ash Almonte is recognized for her distinct abstract expressionistic style. She is best known for her series of Chandeliers, Butterflies, and Fashion from the Seventh Avenue Design District. She is motivated by change, compassion for others, and miraculous phenomena that can impact others for good.
Her flair and admiration for fashion and art have been a staple of her life since childhood. Erin Parish ( 1966 -, St. Louis, MO) is an American painter and independent curator.
She graduated from Bennington College in 1988 with a B.A. and Queens College with an M.F.A. in 1990.
Parish is the daughter of four artists. As a child growing up] talk in her family focused on the New York Times and the changing commercial and philosophical views of the art world. She has been exhibiting regularly since the age of 18 and has been a practicing artist for nearly four decades.
While her early influences range from Joseph Cornell to the German Expressionist artists and the Neue Wilde artists of the 1980s, she now draws inspiration from the Hudson River School artists, as well as Mariko Mori, Yayoi Kusama and Japanese woodcuts by Hokusai and Hiroshige.
She is also influenced by the Japanese principles of Wabi-sabi and Yugen.
She has been represented by Winston Wachter Fine Art, New York, NY, Spanierman Modern, New York, NY and Andra Norris Gallery, Burlingame, CA.

Don Giffin, Born in Chicago in 1948, Giffin earned his bachelor’s and master’s degree at what is now Cal State Northridge. An abstract painter who expanded the Southern California modes of “color and light” and “finish fetish” art, melding impressions of photography, printmaking and painting into a single work.
Giffin, a master printmaker as well as a painter. In 1995 he mounted the first of his five solo exhibitions at the Christopher Grimes Gallery in Santa Monica. David Pagel described the artist’s work in a Los Angeles Times review as perfectly smooth, glass-like surfaces when viewed from afar that seemed to decay as one approached.
They make pain palpable and evoke mortality’s inevitability, Pagel wrote of Giffin’s creations, which used layers of paint, gesso and tar that he pulled apart as they dried. “His corporeal abstractions bypass your mind to hit you in the stomach.” Giffin was one of 10 Los Angeles, California artists whose work was featured in the 1997 Biennial of the Orange County Museum of Art. (including Robert Blanchon, Jessica Bronson, Julia Couzens, Terri Friedman, Don Giffin, Dennis Hollingsworth, Carlos Mollura, Carter Potter, Monique Prieto, and Chris Wilder.)
