Untitled, Head Of An Artist, Avant-Garde Bronze Sculpture
Located in Surfside, FL
As an artist and writer, Philip Pavia was a committed member of the Abstract Art community throughout his long, distinguished career. Pavia was active in the art world until his death in 2005 and received immense critical praise for his artistic and literary contributions. Recognized for his signature work The Ides of March, he produced monumental pieces that alternated between figurative and abstract styles. While he was a dedicated sculptor, Pavia extended that passion into writing and published It is: A Magazine for Abstract Art. Born in 1911 of Provencal-Italian descent, the Stratford, Connecticut native received early inspiration from his father, a professional stone cutter. Pavia's sculptures are characterized by rough, chiseled bronze and marble, his father's trade was no doubt a significant influence. In fact, by 1934, his father was so enthusiastic about his son's passion that he encouraged young Philip to study at the Academia delle Belle Arti in Florence, Italy. Before his studies in Europe, Pavia was briefly a student at Yale University but quickly dropped out and enrolled at New York's Art Student League. While attending school, he befriended artists Jackson Pollock and Arshile Gorky. All three were to become major players of the vibrant new Abstract Art movement. At his father's advice, Pavia embarked on his European experience and was introduced to other influential artists of his time. Traveling between Italy and Paris, Pavia met John Ferren...

Keith Haring Skateboard Deck
Located in NEW YORK, NY
Keith Haring Mickey Mouse Skateboard Deck: Standout Keith Haring Skateboard Deck featuring lush, vibrant, fun colors & classic early 1980s Keith Haring Mickey Mouse imagery. A brilliant piece of Haring wall-art that hangs with ease. This work originated from the sold out collaboration between Diamond Supply and the Keith Haring Foundation. The deck is housed in its original shrink-wrap and bares the copyright of the Haring foundation on the reverse. Medium: Maple wood skateboard deck. 2021. Approximate Dimensions: 8.0 x 31 inches (20.5 x 79 cm). In original shrink wrapping; excellent overall condition. Estate trademark & Haring printed signature on the reverse. From sold out/out of print edition of unknown. Keith Haring rose to prominence in 1980s New York within the East Village art scene alongside Jean-Michel Basquiat, Kenny Scharf, and Jenny Holzer. He bridged the gap between the art world and the street, graffiting city subways and sidewalks before committing to a studio practice. Haring united the appeal of cartoons with the raw energy of Art Brut artists such as Jean DuBuffet as he developed a distinct pop-graffiti aesthetic that comprised energetic, boldly outlined figures against solid or patterned backdrops. His major themes included exploitation, subjugation, drug abuse, and the threat of nuclear holocaust; Haring boldly engaged with social issues, especially after receiving an AIDS diagnosis in 1987. Today, his work sells for seven figures at auction and has been the subject of solo shows at the Brooklyn Museum, the San Francisco Museum of Modern Art, and the Albertina Museum in Vienna, among other institutions. Bronze Wall Hanging Sculpture, Verdigris Patina
By Ilana Goor
Located in Surfside, FL
Ilana Goor is an individualistic, autodidactic, intuitive and multifaceted artist. As an artist who knows no boundaries and whose art transcends any conventions, her creations are a blend of vitality and obsession, functional simplicity alongside expressive complexity bordering on surrealism. Her sources of inspiration are neither time nor place-dependent. They create a personal statement, a journey replete with meaning and they succeed in touching and moving people the world over. Goor was born in Tiberias to an educated and distinguished family of highly respected doctors and artists. She never studied art or design in any formal setting. She developed her artistic techniques on her own from an early age, when she used various parts to create small statues. She is considered to be an international multidisciplinary artist. Her works encompass sculptures, furniture, judaica, lighting fixtures, jewelry and fashion items which are displayed in well known galleries worldwide and are distinguished by their powerful, dominant presence. She first came to the United States in her 20s and captured the hearts of the locals with her large-buckle belts for men which paved her artistic path in North America. Since then Ilana Goor was requested to install statues in major public locations and exhibited her works in museums throughout Europe, America, Japan and Israel. Ilana Goor designed jewelry, buckles and sold belts to most major department stores in America including I Magnin, Neiman Marcus, Bloomingdale's, Macy's, Saks Fifth Ave. and in Japan. In 1986 Ilana Goor introduced a collection of iron furniture and accessories to the American marketplace as limited editions signed by the artist. She was awarded the Roscoe award for Best Design in residential seating in 1988. Her works are presently displayed in sixteen decorator and designer showrooms throughout the United States. Her iron furniture collection was displayed in the Israel Museum, Jerusalem in1987 and in 1993 Ilana Goor introduced her collection of furniture in Japan...

David Kimball Anderson Sculpture Flowers in a Vase
Located in Surfside, FL
David Kimball Anderson’s work is bold and graceful, respectful and spiritual. A practicing Buddhist and avid surfer as well as a sculptor, Anderson has given way to 4 decades of work that revere beauty in nature and beauty in industry within his signature aesthetic. For Anderson, steel girders, dry leaves, machine parts and distant train lights are equally as compelling as strawberry flowers, begonias, Asian antiquities and the night sky. Editing down to essential form while adding a touch of embellishment allows his work to embody both minimalist formal truth and decorative adornment. Anderson’s art practice is a beauty-driven way of knowing the world. In this sculpture David Kimball Anderson assembles an arrangement of Metal artifacts...

Little Girl Standing
By Philippe Chambault
Located in Pasadena, CA
Philippe Chambault The artist was born August 9, 1930, in Châtenay-Malabry (Hauts-de-Seine), where he did his primary schooling. Then he studied art at the School of Applied Arts in Paris, and especially at the woodcarving workshop. In 1954, he entered the studio of the sculptor Georges Serraz (the author of Christ-Roi des Houches), and he replaced Henri Dunand, who returned to Vallorcine to run the family business (this is also his friendship with the latter who is the cause of his installation as a secondary residence in Vallorcine, from 1961). He meets the sculptor Louis Derbré, become one of the leaders of the figurative renewal, and befriends him. It is at his instigation that he participates in different salons. He won two national awards: the Fénéon Fellowship in 1956 and the Vikings Prize in 1957. In 1961, he joined J. Balme, a medal publisher in Saumur. Since then, he has created the creations of this house: commemorative medals. On the other hand, Philippe Chambault has kept a small activity as an independent sculptor, often in sacred art. His most important work, created for a Strasbourg seminar, is a three-meter-high wooden and copper crucifix...
