Premier Quality Shoulder Mount Taxidermy Burchell's Zebra
Located in New York, NY
Premier quality shoulder mount taxidermy Burchell's zebra, a southern subspecies of the plains zebra, from South Africa. This exquisite piece of art measures 37” x 16” x 30”, making it a rare and unique find for collectors and nature enthusiasts alike. The Burchell's zebra is named after the British explorer and naturalist William John Burchell and is also known as the bontequagga, Damaraland zebra, or Zululand zebra. This zebra specimen boasts distinctive brown and white stripes that are particularly wide, creating a striking contrast against its coat. Moreover, each individual's stripe pattern is unique, which acts as an identifying characteristic similar to fingerprints in human beings. This shoulder mount taxidermy specimen is an excellent representation of the natural beauty and diversity of Burchell's zebra, which inhabits open savannas, woodlands, and scrublands of southeastern Africa. This mount is not only visually appealing, but it also adds a touch of versatility to any living space. It can be easily mounted on a wall or as a table mount, making it an ideal focal point in a variety of settings. Whether it's displayed in a dinning room, office, living room or library this zebra mount...

Fine Taxidermy Hamerkop by Sinke & Van Tongeren
By Sinke & Van Tongeren
Located in Haarlem, NL
Hammerhead (Scopus umbretta) is a medium sized wading bird. The shape of his head with a long bill and crest at the back looks like a hammer. This gave the species its name after the Afrikaans word for hammerhead ‘Hamerkop’. We sculpted this Hamerkop in a very gracious and friendly pose. Its base is tailor made with antique wood and velvet. Housend under an antique 19th century glass dome...

1920s Czech Taxidermy Cow Tur Domácí Bos Taurus Hind Leg Bone Classroom Study
Located in Haarlem, NL
Very interesting early 20th Century Czech made taxidermy cow "Tur Domácí Bos Taurus" hind leg for classroom study, probably used at a University Faculty of Veterinary Medicine. The leg is at least a hundred years old, you can see by the way it is fixed together (the curly iron thread) and the surface ware of the real bones, it is smooth and yellowish. The iron and wood holder however is probably aded very recently (my guess is in the 80s 90s). Tur Domácí Bos Taurus (which is Czech and Latin for domestic bovine, or domestic cow) is an even-toed ungulate from the genus Bos of the bovine family...

Antique, Rare and Large Hand Carved Black Forest Flying Eagle Pendant Chandelier
Located in Lisse, NL
A stunning, four-light eagle pendant for the collectors of only the rarest Black Forest antiques. If you are a serious and lifelong collector of Black Forest antiques or even if you are the curator of a museum owning rare Black Forest pieces then the chance of you owning a large Black Forest chandelier like this still is very small. This, over three feet wide, eagle chandelier is the kind of Black Forest antique that you normally only find in books. For us to have been given the opportunity to purchase it from a German family of (former) nobles was an honor. The older lady we purchased it from had known it all her life, but she was moving to a much smaller home and she had no family members interested in antiques. This majestic eagle with both claws is holding a perfectly hand carved branch and from each of the four side branches grows a hand crafted, blackened metal, flower lampshade. The large size of this eagle, his perfect body posture, his excellent and warm patina and the great details really make this well balanced sculpture a marvelous antique to own, to use and to look at. The way in which this fierce predator is sticking out its neck and scanning the area with its piercing eyes is something that only a true master carver is capable of creating. To us, this unique and sculptural Black Forest chandelier is the perfect center piece for a hunting lodge or for a Black Forest collector's 'treasure trove' or 'inner sanctum'. We can also see it grace the entry hall of a museum. If you can imagine how this work of art chandelier would look over your large antique desk...

A large red iridescent ammonite fossil dating from the late cretaceous period (100.5 – 66 million years ago). This huge plancenticeras ammonite is approximately 16 inches tall and has an iridescent lustre that showcases a vibrant red hue. Once a living creature, this ammonite has developed its red iridescent lustre over millions of years of compression, transforming into a striking gemstone. A rare find. Exceptional from every angle, for sure this Geode Wings will be an amazing addition collection or a conversation starter in your decor space. The Agate layer pattern that can be seen reveals the entire process of growth.
