Discovered by the German mathematician August Ferdinand Möbius, a Möbius strip is a surface with only one side and only one boundary. An example of a Möbius strip can be created by taking a paper strip, giving it a half-twist, and then joining the ends of the strip to form a loop.
The plinth measures 39 x 14 x 14 inches. The sculpture measures 39 x 15 x 8 inches The sculpture is mounted onto a round pin connecting the sculpture to the plinth so it can be turned in situ.
