Hans Wegner "Ge-236" Three Seat Sofa

About the Item

This is a three-seater sofa manufactured by GETAMA. Its simple design features linear lines, but the angled seat and backrest have been carefully calculated to minimize stress on the body and lower back when sitting deeply. Working in collaboration with GETAMA, Wegner created numerous designs for sofas, aiming to balance not only comfortable angles of the seat and backrest but also a comfortable cushion hardness and the aesthetic beauty of the backrest. Wegner believed that "furniture is not meant to be looked at but to be used as tools," and thus he prioritized comfort, which has captured the hearts of many.
