Vetro Calcedonio Vase by Napoleone Martinuzzi for Venini Murano, ca. 1930s
Located in Berghuelen, DE
Vetro calcedonio vase by Napoleone Martinuzzi for Venini Murano ca. 1930s. A very rare Murano art glass vase attributed to Napoleone Martinuzzi around 1930. Manufactured by Cappelin in the 1920s or Venini in the 1930s. Thin hand blown malachid (calcedonio) glass with curved handles on each side. Similar to Venini model number 3255. This model was produced in different glass types. The vase is not signed. It was bought from a very famous collection in the 1990s. Reach out for more information on the provenance. Measures: Height: 9.06" (23 cm) Diameter: 6.3" (16 cm) Napoleone Martinuzzi (1892 -1977) was an Italian sculptor and designer who left his mark on Italian glass art in particular. As graduate of the Academy of Fine Arts in Venice, he worked with Ca' Pesaro artists and exhibited at Ca' Pesaro in 1908. In the 1920s he was appointed as Director of the Murano glass Museum. In 1925 he founded Venini & Co. with Paolo Venini and others, of which he took over the artistic direction. His creations of animals, fruits and succulent plants gained international success too. The Cenedese Glassworks , Seguso Vetro d'Arte and Pauly & Co were his last creative stations. Rare 1965 Men’s Accutron 214 Spaceview M5 Openwork/Skeleton Wristwatch by Bulova
Located in Van Nuys, CA
The 1965 Men's Accutron 214 Spaceview Openwork Wristwatch was a revolutionary timepiece featuring cutting-edge tuning fork technology, setting a new standard for accuracy in the industry by Bulova watches. The Spaceview wristwatch was never intended for the public marketplace. Originally made an openwork skeleton watch for jewelers and watch sellers to show off the revolutionary electronic tuning fork movement to prospective buyers in shops. After being displayed in-store customers immediately began to request these display models for purchase, so Bulova added an hour-and-minute track for customers to be able to read the time for purchase. Without realizing it Joseph Bulova had created an absolute sensation, so the "space view...
