A fine and impressive pair of antique Edwardian English sterling silver shell peppers; an addition to our novelty silver cruets/condiments collection. These exceptional, fine and impressive antique Edwardian sterling silver peppers are stylistically modelled in the form of 12-gauge shells. The upper portion of each pepper is embellished with pierced 'pepper' holes. Each pepper pot retains the original fully hallmarked screw fit detachable base. Each base retains the original gilding representing the brass of the shell and the body of each bears the original oxidised finish; examples with this combination is rare to the market. Such examples in this exceptional and almost unused condition are becoming increasingly difficult to locate. These items have been crafted as a matching pair and will have been crafted in fewer years, however, due to the hallmarking system one pepper is struck with the date letter 'g' (1902) and the other bears the date letter 'i' (1906). Condition These antique Edwardian shell silver peppers are an exceptional gauge of silver, exceptional quality and in exceptional condition. Full silver hallmarks to the surface of each body and base are very clear. Reflections in photographs may detract from the true representation of these examples of antique cruets...

This exceptional antique Georgian sterling silver candle snuffer tray has a navette shaped form. The surface of this antique silver snuffer/pen tray is ornamented with a contemporary bright cut engraved crest depicting a centaur regardant holding and arrow on a bended bow, above the bright cut engraved initials 'WIL'. The outer circumference of the surface is encompassed with an undulating wriggle work decorated border. The raised rounded sides of the tray are embellished with pierced decorated urn designs conjoined by suspended bright cut engraved festoon ornamentation further accented with undulating pin struck decoration. The tray is further embellished with an applied bead decorated border to the rim. Either end of the tray incorporates an impressive pierced and applied scrolling leaf decorated handle accented with a pendant drop design to the inner surface. This exceptional tray was crafted by the London silversmith William Plummer who is known for his work with pierced decoration. The body of the mustard pot is embellished with applied girdles outlining the features of the bilge hoops and quarter hoops. This fine mustard pot is fitted with a hallmarked plain domed hinged cover surmounted with a cast thumbpiece. An exceptional, fine and impressive, antique George IV English sterling silver egg cruet set for three persons; part of our dining silverware collection. This exceptional antique George IV sterling silver egg cruet set consists of three egg cups and three associated spoons, displayed on a functional original purpose-made stand. The original hallmarked egg cups have a bell shaped form onto a circular spreading pedestal foot. These silver egg cups are embellished with cast and applied floral and foliate decorated borders to the upper portions, in addition to a band of leaf decoration to the each foot. The three associated hallmarked English sterling silver spoons have a plain tapering form with leaf ornamentation to the terminals. This silver cruet set is supported and displayed on the original and impressive cast sterling silver circular rounded stand, ornamented with foliate decoration. The surface of the stand bears three circular receivers enabling the egg cups to stand securely in situ; these supports alternate with integrated receivers for the three egg spoons. The receivers surmount an exceptional pedestal constructed of three putto figures stood with their arms elevated, bracing scrolling supports to the plain circular boss. The original antique stand features a central carrying handle modelled in the form of a foliate wreath. Each antique egg cup and egg spoon retains the original gilt interior. An exceptional, fine and impressive antique Elizabeth II English sterling silver cheroot case made by Boodle & Dunthorne; an addition to the ornamental silverware collection. This exceptional vintage Elizabeth II sterling silver cheroot case has an octagonal prism form. The surface of this vintage silver box is ornamented with impressive panels of engine turned decoration. Either end of the box is plain and unembellished. This vintage case retains the original sprung hinged hallmarked cover, with opens to reveal two gilded compartments. The interior of the cover retains the original gilding. By virtue of its size this versatile box could be used for a multitude of functions, including holding pencils/pens. Condition This vintage silver cheroot case is an exceptional gauge of silver, exceptional quality and in exceptional condition. The engine turned decoration is very sharp. Full hallmarks struck to the interior of the box and part hallmark to the interior of the cover are all very clear; the hallmarks are struck deeply due to the exceptional gauge of silver.
