About the Item

Charlotte Perriand 'Pivotante À Poser' table lamp in yellow for Nemo. Originally designed in 1950 by the iconic Charlotte Perriand, these newly produced authorized re-editions are still made in France by Nemo with the highest level of integrity and attention to detail. Executed in blue, yellow or white painted metal with a 360 degree rotating shade. Innovative design for the 1950s but still a contemporary table lamp. The lighting output is adjusted by the opening or closure of the volets. Its cylindrical body opens on two sides on which two diffusers rotate allowing the opening and closing of the light beam to adjust the light in a direct or indirect way. Price is per item. Available to order in unlimited quantities and in choice of white, light grey, yellow, light blue, royal blue, carmine red or sage green. This listing is for the lamp in yellow. In stock lead time 1-2 weeks. Out of stock lead-time can add 8-9 weeks or longer. Inventory and availability are subject to change without notice. Please inquire for current lead time prior to placing time-sensitive orders. Accommodates a single medium base e26 maximum 60Watt Equivalent LED bulb (not included). Integrated on/off witch on 8.2' of cord. US wall plug and UL listed. To Charlotte Perriand, lamps were not a decorative element added for no reason, but a functional and technical component, a tool and an object answering to specific needs. Perriand’s minimalistic approach instills a timeless character in her creations: these are the “Useful Forms” that came from the movement she co-founded in 1949. Like Perriand’s furniture, her lamps are not immovable, but rotate and bend themselves, adjusting to our needs. Made to order. All sales are final.

Arne Jacobsen AJ Table in Ocher Yellow for Louis Poulsen
By Arne Jacobsen
Located in Tilburg, NL
Arne Jacobsen AJ Table in Ocher Yellow for Louis Poulsen. Designed in 1957. New, current production. Arne Jacobsen designed the AJ Lamp for the SAS Royal Hotel in Copenhagen (Radisson Collection) in 1957. Today, the AJ family is regarded as the design that the Danish architect is best known for all over the world. At that time, the AJ family comprised a table and a floor lamp as well as a wall lamp, a small table lamp and a table lamp that was designed to attach to the table. The wall lamp could be found in beautiful rows in stainless steel in the lobby when the hotel was opened in 1960. In combination with the pendant AJ Royal, the AJ Lamp formed part of the overall design concept that Jacobsen created for the hotel. Arne Jacobsen did not just design the hotel down to the smallest detail for SAS (Scandinavian Airlines), he also designed almost all the hotel’s original furniture and utility items. The profile of the AJ Lamp with its straight lines and its combination of oblique and right angles is not only seen as a formal parallel to the profile of the Series 3300 seats, but also to the geometric profiles of his buildings. The AJ Lamp was used in several parts of the hotel, in copper and stainless steel. Furthermore, it was originally available in light grey, dark brown and black like the AJ Pendant...

Lumina Daphine Led Table Lamp in Matt Yellow by Tommaso Cimini
By Lumina, Tommaso Cimini
Located in Warsaw, PL
Lumina daphine LED table lamp in matt yellow by Tommaso Cimini. Undisputed emblem of elegance and functionality, the daphine represents the essence of Lumina. The idea behind the creation of the Daphine lamp is as simple as it is effective: a pivoting diffuser, an articulated arm in two segments and an electromechanical transformer on a cylindrical base between two metal caps. The daphine first “saw the light” in a small workshop in Sedriano (Milan province) in 1975 thanks to the skilful hands of Tommaso Cimini, a mechanical engineering expert, and the machines he had retooled for the purpose. The daphine springs from Tommaso Cimini’s design philosophy, “Lots of light, not much lamp”, which is still the essence of every product bearing the name of Lumina, the company he set up in 1980. 45 years on, the Daphine’s aesthetic and functionality are unchanged, which goes to show the validity of the original IDEA. Tried and tested throughout its long production history, this lamp lends itself to countless uses in public and private places, from reading desks in libraries to pianos, from jewellery display counters to top fashion brand shop windows. The Daphine undoubtedly deserves the status of a ‘lighting design icon...
