About

Hans Wegner designed this chair, circa 1940 while he was working with Arne Jacobsen and Erik Møller as the project leader for furniture design of the Aarhus City Hall. Wegner contacted the Aarhus firm, Planmøbler about designing a series of furniture. It was to be his first independent venture as a furniture designer and Planmøbler became the first furniture maker to produce Wegner’s works on a commercial basis.

This is a very rare desk chair.

This frame is in oak and the upholstered back and arms, with loose seat cushions are in green leather.
