Iconic George Nelson #4691 Vintage Slat Bench for Herman Miller Uncommon 68"

About the Item

A true Mid-Century Modern classic, this timeless c. 1960s model #4691 slat bench designed by George Nelson for Herman Miller has that sought after warm patina to the maple slats on ebonized legs. Marked in wax pen to underside, 264/4691 and Nat/Blk, no label, but 100% authentic from a one owner estate. Original unrestored condition, very minor wear to the top, black legs in excellent condition, best I've seen. The Nelson bench is solid and ready to be used-coffee table or bench, remains very versatile and one of George Nelson's most enduring and iconic pieces.
