Pair of Lounge Chairs

About the Item

These are classic and good condition chairs! The upholstery is original and in pretty acceptable condition if one does not want to re-upholster. Hard to find this originality. Florence Knoll was an American architect and industrial designer who became one of the most influential figures in modern design. A pivotal force behind Knoll Associates, she helped define the landscape of mid-century modern furniture and interior design. Knoll’s chairs exemplify her modernist approach—sleek, functional, and comfortable. One of her most famous contributions is the Knoll Lounge Chair, which features a clean, geometric silhouette with a focus on comfort and minimalism. The chair’s simple yet elegant form incorporates modern materials like chrome and high-quality upholstery, reflecting the era's embrace of industrial materials combined with luxury. Her chairs were designed to blend seamlessly into the modernist interiors she helped create, emphasizing a balance between form and function. Whether in the office or the home, Knoll's designs were not just pieces of furniture, but integral elements of modern architecture and design.
