18th Century Swedish Period Gustavian Trag Sofa Bench in Original Paint

About

An 18th century Swedish, Rococo inspired, Gustavian period (Trågsoffa). This is an exceptional and rare period piece that was purchased from a private collection in Belgium. It has been hand-scraped back to reveal the original paint. This trag sofa bench is in excellent condition with intricately carved Rococo details and a patina that only age can provide. The cushions are still covered in original hemp linen, circa 1800s. It is simply and purely beautiful.
