Hans Wegner GE-240 Sofa

About the Item

Hans J. Wegner. He is said to have designed more than 500 chairs during his lifetime and was one of the most influential masters in the history of Danish furniture design. The GETAMA series from the bed mattress manufacturer GETAMA is one of his most popular and best-known works, even today. The GE240 is characterised by its overall rounded design and is nicknamed the "cigar" because the arms look like cigars. The carefully rounded form has an appeal that naturally fits in with both the room and the body, making it a true masterpiece. As for the fabric, it is made of a simple woven fabric in one colour, a wool blend. The fabric is characterised by its soft texture and pleasant finish to the touch. The fabric and filling are reupholstered in Japan.
