1950s George Nelson No. 4000 Series Steel Frame Cabinet, Model 4033

About the Item

This is a Steelframe No. 4000 Series Cabinet, initially designed by George Nelson for Herman Miller in 1950. Its model number is 4033. It features a frame of white powder-coated bent iron, olive green Masonite side panels, and features one drawer and two sliding doors. The drawer is painted orange, and the sliding doors are painted ochre yellow. It retains its original polished chrome handles. This furniture series included a chest of drawers, a side table, and a desk in two sizes. The front panels could be chosen in four different colors (black, blue, yellow, orange). The piece is lightweight for easy mobility. This listing is for the cabinet, and a matching dresser and desk are also available for purchase. This cabinet measures 17.25 inches deep, 33.5 inches wide, and 30 inches high. We have intentionally left this piece in its original condition. There are some blemishes on the front of the piece, and there is age apparent on the frame. Overall, this cabinet is in very good vintage condition. Please see photos. Genuinely faulty goods will be replaced or money refunded on a case by case basis, however we must be advised of any faulty goods upon receipt of the item. It is the customer's responsibility to pay for return shipping and ship the item back to us. If the item is found to be faulty, we will also refund the postage cost. If there is no damage to the item, but a return is approved, the buyer will be responsible for both the initial and return shipping cost. It is at our discretion to refuse the refund of undamaged goods. If an order is placed and you would like to cancel the order, please notify us immediately. Any refunds will be processed via the same means that payment was made.
