About the Item

This piece is very rare and stunning example of Scandinavian design. Known for his innovative approach to modernist furniture, Aalto's low chest of drawers combines sleek minimalism with organic elegance. The clean, functional lines of the piece are complemented by Aalto's signature use of bent wood, creating a warm and inviting feel. Its drawers offer practical storage while maintaining a visually balanced and harmonious look. Crafted with precision and quality, this chest serves not only as a functional storage solution but as a timeless design statement, perfect for those who appreciate a seamless blend of style and utility in their interiors. This is a 1930s piece and retains its original Finmar label. The chest is in very good vintage condition. There are minor marks and signs of age but nothing that overly detracts. This piece has at some point be professionally repolished. This was done by the last owner to a very high level.
