Fine 1930s Print by Deschmacker: Greek Women Contemplating Man
About the Item
This very fine 1930s print, clearly influenced by the Neo-Classicsm of Picasso and Redon, was made by Paul Alex Deschmacker, a French artist active between the Wars. Its blank-eyed Greek figures clearly show the influence of classical statuary, and its dense foliage has a stylized quality that shows the influence of Art Deco decoration.
