An early Victorian blue enamel, pearl and diamond locket, to the centre a 18th century miniature portrait depicting the head of a lady in a blue dress, within a border of old-cut diamonds on a blue enamel oval mount set with half pearls and rose-cut diamonds in foliate motifs, brooch pin to back and detachable pearl and diamond set pendant loop, inscribed to back "Frances Countess of Winchilsea and Nottingham died September 27th 1734, with fitted case, circa 1840, measuring 4.2 x 2.5 cm, gross weight 17.1 grams.
This antique locket is in good condition, wear consistent with age and use.
Unmarked tested as 18ct gold.
