For sale a rare arrow brooch dated from the 19th century, the Victorian era. This brooch features a stunning yellowish-gray cat-eye chrysoberyl cabochon in the center: a precious phenomenon gemstone that displays a line in the center of the stone when exposed to light. The cat-eye measures 10mm in height and 7mm in width. The cabochon is framed with a circle of white seed pearls, as well as the tail and the point of the arrow. This exceptional, fine and impressive antique Victorian brooch has been crafted in 18k yellow gold with a white gold setting.
The feature setting has an overlapping ribbon style design terminating to the horizontal bar with a natural pearl.
The lower terminal is embellished with a vertical arrangement incorporating an individually collet set 0.02ct Dutch cut diamond to the apex of millegrain decorated, collet set 0.62ct cabochon cut sapphire.
This exceptional example of antique sapphire jewellery secures to the reverse with a hinged pin and clasp.
The pin is hallmarked with the 18k gold mark (18) and the clasp bears the French gold import mark (owl); this mark is used for finished articles brought into France to be examined by the French assay office.

An impressive antique 1890's 0.06 carat emerald and 15 karat yellow gold, 9 karat rose gold and copper 'owl' bar brooch; part of our diverse antique and estate jewelry collections.
This fine and impressive antique brooch has been crafted in 15k yellow gold with a 9k rose gold bar, and copper pin.
The realistically modelled 15k yellow gold owl to the center of the bar has two collet set round cut emeralds to represent the eyes, and a sharp textured decoration.
The 9k rose gold bar secures to the reverse with a copper hinged pin and clasp fastening.
The reverse of the bar is hallmarked with the marks for 15k and 9k gold (15CT 9CT), and the pin with 'METAL'.

A very fine and impressive antique Victorian 0.88Ct old European round cut diamond and 15 karat yellow gold brooch/locket; part of our antique jewelry and estate jewelry collections.
This fine antique Victorian brooch / locket has been crafted in 15k yellow gold.
The brooch has an oval form ornamented with a central quatrefoil design claw / prong set with five Old European round cut diamonds.
This central design is further embellished with four applied scrolling motifs displayed in relief.
This impressive brooch has an applied rope twist and bead decorated border accented with four floral motifs.
The Victorian brooch / locket is fitted to the reverse with a removable oval glass panel, behind which a personal photograph may be displayed.
The brooch secures to the reverse with a hinged pin in addition to a detachable safety clip and chain.
The 15k fineness mark (15k) is clearly struck to the reverse of the brooch, in addition to the registration number.
