An impressive early Edwardian 18ct yellow gold citrine set fob seal dating from 1902. The original owner made the decision to keep the base blank which means the new owner still has the possibility to have a monogram or crest engraved. A nice detail is the hallmarks to this fob which date the fob from 1902 and the assay office of Chester, in North of England.

This fine and impressive antique pendant has been crafted in 18k gold.
The French pendant displays a central collet set oval enamel panel displaying the profile of a lady in vibrant white, yellow and pink clothing, against a royal blue background.
This central enamel panel is surrounded by a pierced decorated gold frame, accented with simplified floral and foliate designs.
The pendant is signed to the reverse with the maker's mark 'Le Pémen, Limoges'.
This Edwardian enamel and gold pendant suspends from a contemporary 18k yellow gold 45.72cm/18' curb chain via an integrated ring loop attachment, and secures to the reverse with a conventional spring-loaded bolt ring fastening.
This French pendant has been independently tested using state of the art technology (Niton XL2 Analyzer) and verified as 18k gold.

This crescent moon pendant is from the Alaskan Gold Rush era. The moon is a thin sliver, either a waxing or waning crescent in its moon cycle. On the front of the pendant are pieces of 22k Alaskan gold, which have been carefully soldered on top of a crescent moon 14k gold cutout. The encrusted gold nuggets create a beautiful visual texture. A lovely patina shadows the crevices of the gold, drawing the eye to the unique shape of each nugget. In the center of the pendant is a sliver of fossilized walrus tusk, which was added when the piece was created circa 1910. The sliver of tusk is dimensional, polished into a knife-edge shape, and its colors compliment the pendant’s gold.

Renaissance Cameo Pendant

The cameo at the center of this exceptional pendant is a stunning example of the art of gem engraving during the Renaissance. It likely dates to the early 17th century and features a sacrificial scene inspired by the Greco-Roman era. The central flaming altar is flanked by two figures preparing to sacrifice a ram, while a figure in a lion skin blowing horns stands in the left corner. The carver brilliantly uses the natural layers of the stone to achieve the illusion of shadow and musculature on the figures. A second, smaller cameo is set at the top of the pendant, while a myriad of multi-colored gems, pearls and enamel adorns the 18K gold setting. A large Baroque pearl suspended from an enamel dragon finishes the design, which embodies the opulence and theatricality of jewels from the Renaissance age.
Cameos and intaglios were highly popular amongst wealthy connoisseurs in Renaissance Italy, and owning the finest pieces was the privilege of princes. Although they were often elaborately mounted for display alone, cameos were also frequently worn as pendants, surrounded by enameled and stone-set gold frames. Such pieces were particularly prized by the Medici and Lorraine families, many of which can now be seen at the National Archeological Museum in Florence.

Vintage necklaces designed by David Webb — whose work landed him on the cover of Vogue in 1950, two years after opening his Manhattan shop — were likely inspired by the ornamental styles of ancient Greece, Mesopotamia and Egypt.
