An extremely rare intaglio seal piece, created in Rome Italy by the Pichler's Atelier in the late early 18th century, circa 1795. It was carved in an oval cabochon cut shape, from a triple layered translucent bluish agate. The intaglio seal depicts the naked figure of the Roman goddess Mercury, in running flying position to the right with a helmet and winged sandals. Raising his left hand and holding a trophy with the right hand. A butterfly or flying insect at the right. Signed, Pichler in Greek (ΠΙΧΛΕΡ), for Giovanni or Luigi Pichler (1773-1854). This seal has been made after the famous Flying Mercury (Mercure volant) statue, created by the mannerist sculptor Giambologna (Giovanni da Bologna 1524-1608), a Flemish-Italian sculptor that work all his life mostly in Florence in Italy. One of the versions of the actual sculpture is located at the Bargello Museum in Florence Italy and the other at the Louvre Museum in Paris. 14K Rose Gold Victorian Blue Banded Agate Ring
Located in Venice, CA
This is an elegant Victorian era ring, featuring the popular Scottish stone of banded agate. The banded agate is smooth and could be engrave with a personal sign or emblem, potentially making it a signet ring. The oval and smooth banded agate gemstone measures 3/8 by 5/8 of an inch. It is a very dark blue color, and the sides, where one can see the rings of the agate, is a darker black color. The band on the ring is banded also, with a nice texture that enhances the qualities of the stone. The rose gold color is a nice choice to set off the darker and moody gemstone. The ring is a size 4.5 but could be easily resized. Feels great to the touch making this a great everyday ring. The ring remains unmarked but has been acid tested to 14K gold. Weighs 3.65 grams. "Pebble rings...

Georgian Amethyst and Dendritic Agate Gold Cluster Ring, 18th Century
Located in London, GB
This stunning ring is typical of late 18th century Georgian era cluster rings. In the centre rests a much sought after dendritic agate surrounded by a halo of old cut amethysts. This seemingly perfect combination of gemstones was quite uncommon at the time, making this a very desirable collector’s piece. The underside of the domed bezel is engraved with rays emanating from the centre, a typical characteristic of 18th century clusters. The ring sits fairly flat on the finger which allows for comfortable and frequent wear. It is in excellent wearable condition despite being over 240 years old and all the stones are secure in their settings. Dendritic agate is an unusual variety of agate which displays little fern or branch-like formations, a much loved stone during the Georgian period. The magical stone...
