Tian Wei was born in 1973 in Beijing, China. He presently lives and works in Beijng. He is a contemporary ink artist engaged by China National Academy of Painting. Since 2018, Tian has been an visiting professor of the Comprehensive painting language of Central Academy of Fine Arts .
In recent years, Tian devoted himself to the study of meditation of Zen. By “emptying his mind” of all extraneous thoughts during the process of painting, Tian nds the ideal mental state and becomes liberated from reality. He works in water-based media, By permeating with layer of ink stains and lines over and over, tian has developed his unique distinctive visual language and style. The exceptions are the faces such as the profiles of bearded men in which the content is a mere excuse for the lines to create a pattern of untrammeled playfulness. Of course the Japanese face (Portrait) attempts a straight portrait but for the cartoonist exaggeration of the chin and cheek.
Sunil Das ( 1939-2015) was a Master Modern Indian Artist from Bengal. Extremely successful right from his college days, Sunil Das has been extremely well lauded by art critics , the press , artists and the art and culture glitterati across the world.
Sunil das was the youngest artist to have won the National Award - The Taj Shiromani Kala Puraskar
Recipient of the much coveted Govt. of India's 4th Highest Civilian Award : The PadmaShree (2014)
Highly talented Sunil Das has done shows all across the world, got fame as early as while he was still in college, youngest recipient of the Lalit Kala Academy Awards and received a scholarship to study at L’Ecole Nationale Superior des Beaux arts, Paris.
