Pharrell Williams Portrait Intervened by the artists. Mixed Media on a B&W
Located in Miami Beach, FL
This artwork was created by the artistic duo Hunter & Gatti (2010–2023). These works are part of the archive managed and exhibited by Cristian Hunter. The artist's technique consists of the use of two prints, the first print is the original photography, and the second print is a blurry version of the image printed on glass. The glass version of the picture is shattered with an iron tool to be able to control the rupture. The artists glued the glass parts on top of the original picture, creating a blurred effect. The artists explore even further the infinite possibilities of transformation by turning something as temporary as a fashion editorial, into something completely different and original; a unique piece of art. Series titled "Nothing Stays Still", where they keep questioning the fashion photography industry by creating a new visual identity of their images moving them away from their origin, as a vehicle for testing ideas and as a form of interrogation of the creative process itself, through this series. Cristian Hunter’s work starts from that belief. His photographs —created over a solid international career— are not mere documents, but open territories where painting, texture, and gesture expand photography into new dimensions of meaning. Hunter explores how an image can shift in meaning over time—how context, memory, and manual intervention can transform what was once captured into something newly revealed. Each piece is an invitation to look again, to uncover what lies beneath the visible. Guided by the premise that “nothing stays still,” he works from his personal archive, reinterpreting it, giving new life to what was once lived, and breaking the linear flow between past and present. His lens has captured renowned figures such as Pharrell Williams, Penélope Cruz, Jennifer Lopez, Ewan McGregor, Lalisa Manoban, Adria Arjona, and Bruno Mars, among many others. Yet his focus goes beyond portraiture—what truly interests him is what remains when the image stops being literal and begins to emerge as a living object. His current body of work includes both new pieces and selected artworks from the artistic legacy of Hunter & Gatti, which he now manages. These are duly credited as “ created by Hunter & Gatti,” presented alongside his personal practice and establishing a dialogue between history, transformation, and contemporary gaze. His work has been exhibited in cities such as Barcelona, New York, and Miami, and reflects a visual practice grounded in experience, exploration, and ongoing evolution. From the Series Nothing Stays Still Acrylic on glicée print...

Located in London, GB
"Sexy Scot" by Bob Haswell 28th October 1963: British actor Sean Connery lounges on a sofa with a cigarette. He is in London during filming of the thriller ‘Woman of Straw’ with Gina Lollobrigida. (Photo by Bob Haswell) Sir Sean Connery (born Thomas Connery; 25 August 1930 – 31 October 2020) was a Scottish actor. He was the first actor to portray fictional British secret agent James Bond on film, starring in seven Bond films between 1962 and 1983.[1][2][3] Originating the role in Dr. No, Connery played Bond in six of Eon Productions' entries and made his final appearance in Never Say Never Again. Connery began acting in smaller theatre and television productions until his breakout role as Bond. Although he did not enjoy the off-screen attention the role gave him, the success of the Bond films brought Connery offers from notable directors such as Alfred Hitchcock, Sidney Lumet and John Huston. Their films in which Connery appeared included Marnie (1964), The Hill (1965), Murder on the Orient Express...

Norma Jeane Mortenson or better known as Marilyn Monroe – iconic, beautiful and maybe the most known Hollywood Stars of the 20th century. Born and raised in Los Angeles, USA, she spent most of her childhood in foster homes and orphanage. She got married with only 16 years old and while working for a factory during WW II, she met a photographer from the First Motion Picture Unit and started a succesful modeling career. The rest of her life is history: In the 50s she was one of the most marketable actresses, had held leading roles in various movies and was known for her immense sex appeal. As a highly intelligent woman, she knew how to build a career, while, in her private life she struggled with addiction and mood disorder. HANOVER SQUARE, LONDON - VOGUE - 1961 signed
Located in London, GB
VOGUE – HANOVER SQUARE – 1961 This photograph by Duffy was taken in 1961. The bare trees reveal a very different W1 Hanover Square to how it is 50 years later. To the left, you can see the statue of William Pitt (The Younger) which still remains today. Once a highly desirable and exclusive Mayfair address, the square now comprises mostly of offices. The models, wearing various evening dresses are stood opposite the Vogue head office at 1 Hanover Square. The offices were completed in 1958 and have been the publications UK headquarters since. The image was used for a feature titled “Getting home with the milk” for British Vogue in June 1961. AT DUFFY’S MEMORIAL SERVICE LORD DAVID PUTTNAM ADDRESSED THE FAMILY AND FRIENDS OF DUFFY AND SAID ‘THE WORLD NEEDS MORE DUFFY’S.’ HE THEN WENT ON TO CALL HIM A MAVERICK, SOMEBODY WHO WAS PREPARED TO TAKE RISKS WITH HIS ART FORM AND DESCRIBED DUFFY AS A ‘SUPREMELY TALENTED AND ESOTERIC MAN.’ ‘A man who thrived on risks and challenges, who lived to create.’ In 2013 Duffy was voted as one of the top most 100 influential photographer’s of all time and he richly deserves that title. When Duffy felt he had pushed the boundaries as far as he could and was no longer satisfied with stills photography he abruptly shut his studio, attempted to burn all of his negatives and moved into commercials. Despite repeated requests to return to still photography, give interviews or discuss his career, he became reclusive and his remaining negatives would have stayed in boxes under the stairs had it not been for the persistence of his eldest son, Chris. Chris realised that Duffy’s name was slowly slipping into obscurity and regularly tried to persuade him to do something with his remaining archive. It wasn’t until 2006 when Duffy was diagnosed with the degenerative lung disease Pulmonary Fibrosis that he finally gave Chris the green light to start putting the archive together. The process was a labour of love for the first few years. Organising, scanning and databasing his negatives took many hours whilst Chris was running his own photographic studio. In 2009 the opportunity to exhibit at Chris Beetles Gallery in Mayfair London (now Beetles & Huxley) gave Duffy the platform for his first ever exhibition which was hailed with great critical acclaim. The exhibition ignited an incredible interest in his work and there were regular queues to see the show. During the process of putting the exhibition together, the BBC commissioned a documentary on Duffy’s life and work which aired in 2010. Chris then started on the first monograph but sadly Duffy was never to see this and passed away on 31st May 2010. Since 2010 Duffy’s work has been exhibited in numerous museums and galleries around the world. In 2012 the Victoria and Albert Museum requested use of the original Aladdin Sane record cover ‘dye transfer’ print for their British Design 1948-2012 cultural exhibition. In 2013 the V&A approached the archive for use of the newly released ‘Eyes Open’ version as the lead image for the ‘David Bowie is’ exhibition. This exhibition has achieved record breaking numbers in several venues and has been seen by over 1.5 million visitors. Duffy’s name has now become recognised by an international audience and is now firmly back on the map. In 2014 Duffy’s second book was released – Duffy Bowie: Five Sessions which covers his work with David Bowie. Written by Chris Duffy and Kevin Cann the book explores the chemistry and creation of these five iconic sets of images illustrated with interviews from people who were directly involved. The book is also available in French and Italian. The archive is made up of negatives and contact sheets that have been retrieved from numerous UK and international publications; Vogue, French Elle, Glamour, The Sunday Times, The Telegraph to name but a few in addition to work held by independent archives. The process of exhibiting Duffy’s work continues and the future holds several more book projects illuminating Duffy’s eclectic and influential work. ARCHIVE TIMELINE 2008 The Duffy Archive was established by Chris Duffy. 2009 BBC Documentary “The Man Who Shot The Sixties” One hour documentary on Duffy’s life and work. First exhibition at Chris Beetles Gallery Mayfair, London (now Beetles & Huxley)* See Exhibits page for full list of exhibition since 2009
2010 Duffy passed away 31st May 2010 2011 Publication of first monograph “Duffy Photographer” Published by ACC Editions features over 160 iconic images from the 1950s, 1960s and 1970s and in 2011 the V&A Museum London requested Duffy prints for their permanent collection.

His technique of lighting, colour and composition has helped to produce his own unique visual style. Shortly after receiving an Architecture degree he moved to London where he’s been based since 1983. Westenberg is self-taught and learned his trade working for the UK inkies “New Musical Express” and “Melody Maker” mainly throughout the late 80’s and 90’s documenting amongst others all the UK ‘Britpop’ bands. The breakthrough came in 1993-1994 with the release of Sting’s Ten Summoner’s Tales and Mary J Blige’s Share My World. These two album covers changed the perception of the work worldwide and thus began a run of 20 years of commissions and choice opportunities. For the last 25 years, his musical heritage includes portraits of Radiohead, Thom Yorke, Coldplay, White Stripes, Jane's Addiction, Sting, Bjork, Nirvana, Jeff Buckley, Luther Vandross, Nine Inch Nails, Stone Roses, The Pixies, Paul Weller, Rufus Wainwright, Michael Stipe, U2, Mary J. He’s also been chosen as official photographer for the LIVE 8 Hyde Park event in 2005 and for Led Zeppelin reunion concert at the 02 Arena, London. The work & interest also include a wide range of artists portraits beyond the music world. David Lynch, Paul Auster, The Coen Brothers, Rupert Friend, Sir Tom Stoppard, Orla Kiely, Vincent Cassel, Audrey Tautou, Billy Bob Thornton, Ethan Hawke, Alan Rickman, Daniel Bruhl, Sean Penn, Shirley Henderson, Aaron Eckhart, Robin Wright, Rhys Ifans, Frances McDormand, Jean-Luc Godard, Ray Winstone, Michel Gondry and Naomi Watts are amongst these portraits. “Rolling Stone”, “Spin”, “Q”, “Time Out”, “Les Inrockuptibles”, “Vogue”, “Rockin On Japan”, “Esquire”, “New York Times Magazine”, “Telegraph” and “Observer” Magazines, “Interview” and dozens of others around the world have commissioned him. The last 15 years he’s been a staff photographer at MOJO Magazine producing many covers and features. Most recently photographing Sir Paul McCartney for the cover story of the November 2013 issue. Westenberg’s biggest honour to date arrived in 2012 when he had his first major global museum show. The location was the ‘Kobe Fashion Museum’, one of Japan’s largest museums. The whole museum was dedicated to Westenberg’s works for a 3 month period. Over 70 images were included in a wide range of sizes, styles and presentation. The catalogue produced sold out during the exhibition’s run. The 20-year attendance record for the museum was also broken by the exhibition. blues soul guitar gibson...
