Male Figure 2/3
Located in Napa, CA
Bronze, Edition of 3 Sharon Loper creates transitory sculptures out of bronze, stone, and wood and views her work as landscapes of thought based on organic principles. As a classically educated, third-generation Rodin sculptor, Loper’s work is elongated and expressive. She seeks to sculpt an emotional experience rather than a physical reality. An award-winning sculptor, photographer, and printmaker, Sharon Loper developed her sculptural practice through two decades of study, both at the Otis Art Institute in Los Angeles and in private studio practice. At Otis, she worked with and learned from artists such as Charles White, Joseph Mugnaini...

Table and Vase, Large (Life Size) Sculpture
Located in Surfside, FL
David Kimball Anderson’s work is bold and graceful, respectful and spiritual. A practicing Buddhist and avid surfer as well as a sculptor, Anderson has given way to 4 decades of work that revere beauty in nature and beauty in industry within his signature aesthetic. For Anderson, steel girders, dry leaves, machine parts and distant train lights are equally as compelling as strawberry flowers, begonias, Asian antiquities and the night sky. Editing down to essential form while adding a touch of embellishment allows his work to embody both minimalist formal truth and decorative adornment. Anderson’s art practice is a beauty-driven way of knowing the world. BIOGRAPHY 1946 Born in Los Angeles 1967-1971 San Francisco Art Institute Currently lives and works in Santa Cruz, California. Vibration, Amagansett, NY 2020
Located in Hudson, NY
ABOUT “There’s no color in my work,” says Shlafer, “I either burn it, bleach it, or leave it alone.” Shlafer’s sculptures are designed with rudimentary material such as pine, oak, and spruce salvaged as driftwood on the Eastern end of Long Island. The artist started this body of work during the pandemic after he stumbled upon the charming discoveries while traveling on foot by the coastline. Always a wayfarer at heart, he drew inspiration from his youth of traveling on a motorcycle through Southern Africa and seeing indigenous art made from ordinary earth objects within local villages. “Wishbone 1” a 5 Foot sculpture, charred white oak with a tinted aqua resin base that reflects an omen of resilience and hardiness in light of the hardships of the past pandemic year, In another “Tune” a bleached spruce fence post narrowed into a tuning fork shape with a slate base. It welcomes a ceremonial vibe. “At the end of the day, that’s the energy we all crave,” says Shlafer, “who doesn’t respond to that?” “Mushroom #3” a charred white oak sculpture that is versatile in design so it can act as an end table or a stool. It is masterfully crafted and brings to mind the redwood stools...
